Role Overview

As an Industrial Mechanic Millwright at Cardinal Health in Gananoque, Ontario, you will provide vital production support in a fast-paced, technical setting. This full-time role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing production equipment to maximize OEE while upholding the highest safety and quality standards. Starting with a 40-hour Monday-to-Friday shift, the schedule transitions to a 24/7 rotation after 2-3 months, offering shift differentials and bonus opportunities. With pay ranging from $26.80 to $41.53 per hour plus a $0.84 shift differential, this position rewards skilled tradespeople committed to healthcare excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily contributions will directly impact our manufacturing efficiency:

• Diagnose and repair machinery, identifying root causes of issues in collaborative team settings.
• Install replacement parts, execute precise setups, adjustments, and performance testing.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment and assemble new machinery from engineering drawings.
• Fabricate custom replacement parts in the machine shop using drawings or worn components.
• Interpret technical drawings, consult with engineers on design improvements, and ensure all work complies with ISO standards and safety regulations like ESA and PPE requirements.
• Participate in shift meetings, communicate breakdowns and resolutions, and keep stakeholders informed to minimize downtime.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek dedicated professionals with the right expertise:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College Trade Certificate, Apprentice to Trade Certificate, or preferred 433A Millwright License.
• 3-5 years of general machine shop experience, with strong mechanical aptitude, machine operation, lubricants knowledge, and basic electrical skills.
• Proficiency in industrial machinery maintenance, including preventive strategies.
• Ability to work shifts in a manufacturing environment, communicate effectively across teams, and prioritize safety.
