Senior Linux Engineer - Timisoara Romania - Careers | Infosys English English French Portuguese Spanish Careers Explore Opportunities Explore Life At Infy Apply now Recruitment fraud alert Explore Opportunities Graduates Experienced Professionals Students/Internships Explore Opportunities by Location Explore Life At Infy About Us Our Culture Voices Infosys Careers Explore Opportunities Jobs in Romania Senior Linux Engineer Senior Linux Engineer Apply now Apply now You have successfully copied the job share URL to clipboard! × Job details Work Location Timisoara, County Timis State / Region / Province County Timis Country Romania Domain Delivery Interest Group Infosys Limited Company IL Romania Requisition ID 139638BR Job description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join a mission-critical infrastructure team within the banking sector.The ideal candidate will have expert-level proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), strong experience with Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), and, ideally, hands-on knowledge of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), IBM Spectrum, and related IBM storage and monitoring tools.Key Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and maintain Red Hat-based Linux environments in a high-availability, regulated environment.Manage and optimize Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) configurations for critical services and applications.Support and administer backup and storage solutions, including IBM TSM and IBM Spectrum suite is a plus (not mandatory)Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.Ensure systems comply with industry security standards and internal audit requirements.Collaborate with development, network, and storage teams to ensure seamless integration and support.Document systems, procedures, and policies to support knowledge sharing and regulatory compliance.Participate in on-call rotation, provide support during incidents, and change LinuxRequirements:10+ years of experience as a Linux system administrator/engineer, with deep knowledge of RHEL (7/8/9).Strong expertise in high availability (HA) and clustering technologies, especially Veritas Cluster Server.Familiarity with IBM Tivoli, TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager), and/or IBM Spectrum Protect/Control is a strong plus.Solid understanding of storage systems, SAN/NAS concepts, and enterprise backup strategies.Good understanding of ITIL practices and experience working in regulated environments (banking/finance preferred).Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.Fluent in English and FrenchPreferred Certifications:Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)Veritas Certified Specialist (VCS)IBM Certified Specialist (Tivoli/TSM/Spectrum) Why InfosysInfosys is a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting.
