The Ingredients Category Associate Manager position at PepsiCo's LATAM Center of Excellence in Procurement is a strategic role overseeing Cocoa & Chocolate, Nuts & Seeds, and Other Ingredient categories, managing approximately USD 200 million in annual spend. Based in Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City, this full-time role involves creating frameworks for regional suppliers, ensuring sustainability, and driving cost efficiencies across Latin America. Ideal for procurement professionals with a passion for commodities and supply chain optimization, this position offers exposure to high-impact projects in a dynamic global environment.
Develop and deploy mid- and long-term strategies for key ingredient categories across LATAM, focusing on Cocoa & Chocolate, Nuts & Seeds, and others. Build deep insights into cost structures, price drivers, supply markets, and producing countries to inform decision-making.
Analyze data from internal and external sources to spot trends, risks, and opportunities. Drive productivity initiatives end-to-end, partnering with local category owners on sourcing alternatives that balance cost, quality, timing, sustainability, and supply risks.
Enable future opportunities via market intelligence, supplier collaboration, and innovation scouting. Contribute to PepsiCo’s Pep+ Sustainability agenda in coordination with global teams, while mitigating risks like price volatility, geopolitics, and climate impacts.
A Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, International Trade, Economics, Agribusiness, or related fields is required. Candidates need 5+ years in Procurement, Sourcing, or Category Management, with proven ownership of at least one category. Experience leading productivity projects with measurable business impact is essential; commodities exposure is a plus.
Strong analytical skills to process large datasets and connect market, cost, and business insights. Solid financial acumen for spend analysis and cost modeling. Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. A curious mindset, advanced English proficiency, and ability to clearly explain cost structures and price drivers.
