Role Overview

The International Reporting Tax & Accounting Analyst position in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, is a pivotal role within PepsiCo's International Tax Reporting Team. This full-time opportunity focuses on coordinating, analyzing, and consolidating Latam tax reporting under FAS109 (ASC740) in HFM Cloud at the sector level. You'll contribute to dashboard development, automation tools, and technical tax accounting support while assisting in corporate tax projects. Key Responsibilities

As a key team member, your impact will include:

  • Coordinating and guiding market units/legal entities to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax schedules, resolving HFM FAS109 validation errors for actuals and forecasts.
  • Reviewing FAS109 tax schedules and providing technical support on ASC740, FIN48, HFM, SmartView, and data retrieval issues.
  • Preparing consolidated analyses for Corporate Tax and Control, including NOPBT tax, ETR, YTD cash tax forecasts, I/C and R/E transfers, FIN48 by country, OCI tax effects, provision-to-return adjustments, and deferred tax roll-forwards.
  • Assisting with Corporate Tax queries and coordinating cause-of-change analyses and tax forecast reviews.
  • Supporting dashboard creation, monthly reports, and management files using Power BI, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
  • Analyzing tax data for trends/anomalies and collaborating on automation tools and process harmonization.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek highly adaptable candidates with:

  • Mandatory Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 4 years in general accounting, auditing, tax auditing, or senior tax consulting; Big Four experience highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of Tax Reporting experience and deep knowledge of ASC740 (FAS109).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (70%+ proficiency in reading, writing, conversation).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, macros).
  • Proficient in handling large datasets quickly, with organizational, analytical, and communication skills for cross-level/country interactions.
  • Desirable: USGAAP/MEXGAAP knowledge, HFM experience, automation expertise.
