At Intuit, the Mid-Market team is on a mission to ensure customers can grow with us as their business grows. We will disrupt the small business mid-market (Big Bet 5) by transforming QuickBooks from a self-serve, DIY accounting tool for small businesses into a sales-led, done-for-you suite of tools that power growing businesses. Your role in crafting a sophisticated and lovable product experience is critical to our success.
Our designers are involved in every step of the process - from discovery and ideation to experimentation and launch - using data, AI, and deep customer empathy to craft remarkable experiences.
As a Senior Product Designer on the Mid-Market Industry Solutions team, you’ll shape how QuickBooks grows with our customers by tailoring our powerful, horizontal platform to meet the unique needs of specific industries and verticals. You’ll design experiences that feel purpose-built for how customers operate - starting with construction, and expanding to additional industries over time.
You’ll lead the design of end-to-end workflows that bring project management and operational insights into the QuickBooks ecosystem - helping businesses manage projects, budgets, teams, and timelines all in one place.

Responsibilities
- Apply strategic thinking to design innovative user experiences that balance customer needs, business goals, and technical realities.
- Drive the design process from concept to launch, delivering thoughtful, high-quality solutions across levels of fidelity.
- Translate complex domains like project management and operations into intuitive, scalable design systems that work across industries.
- Partner with cross-functional teams — product managers, engineers, researchers, and designers — to define and deliver customer-driven solutions.
- Incorporate AI-native design thinking to automate and streamline workflows using Intuit’s data and generative AI capabilities.
- Conduct and synthesize user research to uncover industry-specific insights and validate design decisions.
- Balance platform scalability with vertical differentiation, ensuring solutions are both extensible and industry-specific.
- Champion craft and quality, maintaining a high bar for visual polish, interaction excellence, and design consistency.
- Advocate for customers throughout the design process — from discovery to experimentation and delivery.
- Partner closely with engineering to ensure design intent and usability are preserved through implementation.
- Mentor and collaborate with peers to advance Intuit’s design systems, standards, and methods.
- Produce clear deliverables — user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready specs.
- Bring a strong design point of view, supported by data, research, and industry context.
- Solicit feedback early and often, contributing thoughtfully to design critiques and team discussions.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in interaction design, product design, service design, or a related field.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or another relevant area of study.
- A strong foundation in design principles and methodologies.
- A curious spirit and a dedication to testing new ideas and driving impactful business outcomes through innovation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Proven ability to articulate ideas and concepts through compelling storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes.
- A stunning online portfolio that showcases your design skills and collaborative process.
