Job Description

The GBSG Marketing Services team is seeking a strategic, high-impact Staff Marketing Manager to define our Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Strategy for the Global Business Solutions Group (QuickBooks, Mailchimp and Intuit Enterprise). This is a senior individual contributor role designed for a commercial vision and can work in tandem with multiple teams while being able to tie it all together. .

As the architect of our GEO roadmap, your focus will shift away from traditional on-site technical SEO toward off-site influence, strategic partnerships, and brand authority within LLM environments (like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini). You will be accountable for the overarching strategy that ensures our brands are the most cited, trusted, and recommended financial and marketing platforms across the generative AI ecosystem.


You will act as a commercial diplomat, building bridges with external partners and internal product and marketing teams to ensure our data and value propositions are seamlessly integrated into the engines driving the next generation of user intent.


Responsibilities

How You Will Lead


  • Define and execute a holistic content strategy for Generative Engine Optimization that prioritizes brand citations, sentiment, and authoritative placement within AI-driven discovery engines.

  • Identify and negotiate strategic opportunities with AI platforms, data aggregators, and industry publishers to ensure Intuit’s’ data is prioritized in LLM training sets 

  • Move beyond keyword density to focus on 'Entity Authority.' You will own the strategy for how our brands are perceived by generative models through off-site signals and ecosystem dominance.

  • Partner with engineering, product leads, search teams and analytics to ensure our public-facing data structures are optimized for machine readability and generative ingestion.

  • Act as the internal subject matter expert, presenting high-level strategy and POV documents to executive leadership regarding the shifting landscape of organic discovery.

  • Own the 'Organic Discovery' developing attribution models that measure the impact of GEO and partnership initiatives on customer acquisition and ROI. 

  • Conduct deep-dive analysis into how competitors are positioned within generative responses and develop counter-strategies to regain share of voice.


Qualifications


  • 6+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a heavy emphasis on Strategic Partnerships, Business Development, and High-Level SEO Strategy.

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale marketing programs where the primary goal is revenue growth and market share rather than just 'traffic.'

  • Understanding of how LLMs find, process, and cite information. You should have a clear thesis on the transition from Google-centric SEO to Engine-Agnostic GEO.

  • Experience managing high-value external relationships or vendors to drive brand visibility and authority.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional product teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to leverage tools like Adobe Analytics, BigQuery, or specialized AI-tracking platforms (Profound, Scrunch or other LLM measurement platforms) to derive insights from non-traditional search data.

  • A deep understanding of the B2B or SaaS buyer journey is a significant advantage.

  • BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: 

Bay Area California $ 158,000- 213,500
Southern California $
 150,500- 203,500
