The Inventory Executive role at PepsiCo in Reading, UK, is pivotal in governing the end-to-end Low Code and Destructions agenda for the UK Snacks and Grains portfolio. This position drives visibility, accountability, and systemic improvements to minimize excess inventory and obsolescence. Through data-driven insights, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration, the Inventory Executive supports short-term mitigation strategies and long-term solutions. Key focus areas include enabling service delivery, controlling costs, and maintaining optimal inventory health. Identify excess materials weekly, align with Supply Planning for clearance, and support sales teams with additional plans. Execute yellow code sales clearance and charity orders, ensuring seamless delivery and documentation.
Oversee the total destructions budget, including FG Low Code authorisation. Conduct period-end finance reviews, trend analysis, and lead root cause reviews with cross-functional teams to mitigate future risks.
Develop and share weekly network inventory outlooks, systemise projection accuracy, resolve variances, and escalate capacity challenges while collaborating with Network, Supply Planning, and Customer teams.
Review and validate IO Safety Stock targets weekly, balancing service delivery with obsolescence risk. Implement time-phased safety stocks for seasonal builds and downtime planning.
Track Days in Inventory (DII) performance, identify drivers, and propose mitigations to meet annual targets. Prepare quarterly E2E waste sector reporting and support material rationalisation.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, with 3–5 years of experience in inventory, supply chain, or analytics roles. Certifications such as APICS, Six Sigma, or similar in Supply Chain and Analytics are highly beneficial. Proficiency in tools like JDA Blue Yonder, SAP, and IMI is essential, alongside advanced data manipulation, insight generation, and understanding of planning, operations, and order capture processes. Strong communication skills, ability to identify systemic interdependencies, and a self-driven approach to continuous improvement are critical.
