Overview

The Senior Specialist - Talent Management plays a key role in supporting the Catalyst Brands Talent Management Strategies and Initiatives. This position operates with a high degree of independence, managing a variety of projects, reporting needs, and Business Resource Group events that advance talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement. The Senior Specialist will provide both strategic and operational support in a shared services model to ensure the efficient delivery of talent programs and processes.


Responsibilities

Special Assignments & Projects: Lead and support special projects and assignments within the Talent Management and organizational effectiveness function, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of outcomes.

 

Independent Decision-Making: Prioritize and manage multiple workstreams, making informed decisions on priorities, timelines, and execution without requiring close supervision.

 

Confidential Information Management: Handle sensitive and confidential employee and organizational information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.

 

Reporting & Analysis: Develop, maintain, and distribute regular and ad hoc reports, presentations, and dashboards to support talent initiatives and data-driven decision-making.

 

Meeting & Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate meetings, workshops, and events such as talent reviews, leadership development sessions, and engagement initiatives.

Expense Management: Manage and track budgets, invoices, and expenses for Talent Management programs and events.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Learning & Development, and other internal stakeholders to align talent programs with business priorities.

 

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve communication, and enhance program effectiveness.

Additional Duties: Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or relevant work experience in the field of HR.
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in Talent Management, HR, or related areas.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage confidential information effectively.
  • Analytical skill sets or an openness to learning AI concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and HRIS systems; experience with data visualization or reporting tools is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment
