Supply Chain Asset Protection Specialist

 

The Supply Chain Asset Protection Specialist (SCAPS) will support and assist the Supply Chain Asset Protection Manager with day-to-day shrink reduction efforts by leveraging the Asset Protection team in accordance with company policies and procedures, to mitigate shrinkage and ensure safety and security of the associates and facility.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

Talent

      • Supports hiring, training, scheduling, and leading the Asset Protection team.
      • Provides Asset Protection awareness and education for the AP team and the facility.
      • Visible within the unit and on the floor to identify opportunities that may deviate from policy and procedure related to shrink, safety and security. Identifies potential acts of theft and fraud through associate observation.  Redirects incorrect behavior/process through coaching and development. 

 

Shrink & Investigations

      • Drives shrinkage reduction through theft elimination, theft prevention and auditing of operational processes such as reverse logistics, post billing, cycle counts, customs/border control standards.
      • Effectively utilizes data that identifies internal and external investigations as well as, operational process inefficiencies.
      • Identifies and leads investigations. Interviews associates suspected of theft or fraud in accordance to Company standards, and properly documents all stages of the investigation.
      • Partners with Field Investigations team to identify and resolve theft investigations.
      • Contribute information toward operational/external investigations and communicate any operational gaps.

Safe & Secure

      • Utilizes the CCTV system to identify threats related to theft, shrinkage, violence, associate and visitor safety, and operational compliance.
      • Performs safety audits and reviews safety performance metrics.
      • Ensures that reports of incidents, accidents, and investigations are properly prepared and submitted according to policies & procedures.
      • Actively involved in the planning and execution of the facility Emergency Action Plans and conducts drills.
      • Ensures that inspections, procedures, and processes related to vehicles, entry/exit points, intrusion alarms, and fire alarms are completed and documented per policy.

Performance Standards

      • Consistently meets established performance standards for the role, including but not limited to shrinkage, cash loss, safety, AP productivity, KPI metrics, sales & customer service culture, policies and procedures, and profit improvement.

      • 1-3+ years Asset Protection or similar experience, supporting investigations and leading teams

      • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, case management systems and DMS/YMS
