As an Analyst in our Agribusiness platform, you'll work at the intersection of agriculture and institutional capital, supporting transactions that shape Australia's agricultural landscape.

Key Objectives:

  • Execute high-profile agribusiness transactions and deliver comprehensive market analysis
  • Support senior team members in client advisory and deal origination activities, both in the office and the field (on farm)
  • Develop financial models and strategic investment/divestment recommendations for both private and institutional clients
     

What You'll Do:
 

Agribusiness Market Analysis:

  • Prepare comprehensive market reports analysing supply/demand dynamics, commodity movements, and pricing trends
  • Track institutional capital flows and investor appetite for agribusiness assets and monitor active investors for varying sub sectors
  • Compile and analyse transaction data to establish pricing trends and support property appraisals
  • Monitor enquiry and stay current on active buyer pools to coordinate database management supporting greater operational efficiency

Team Collaboration & Development:

  • Work closely with senior team members nationally to execute complex investment transactions for both private and institutional clients
  • Collaborate and build rapport with associated teams internally to understand ancillary markets and monitor broader property market trends
  • Collaborate with national and international investment teams to share market intelligence and monitor capital flows at an institutional level
  • Support the wider Agribusiness team to streamline day-to-day processes and optimize operational efficiency
     

Agribusiness Transaction Management:

  • Manage end-to-end transaction processes for agribusiness assets, including data room preparation and vendor/buyer liaison
  • Coordinate due diligence processes for agribusiness transactions, completing asset investigation, information compilation and ensuring information is collected and presented accurately
  • Liaise with clients, advisors, management teams and investors throughout transaction processes
  • Create strategic and high-quality pitch materials and investment memorandums for agribusiness assets

Client Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with agribusiness investors, understanding their specific portfolio strategies and investment criteria
  • Provide regular market updates and transaction reports to agribusiness-focused clients, both private and institutional
  • Support client coverage initiatives for local, regional and global investors seeking exposure to agricultural markets
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding agribusiness market conditions and investment opportunities

Financial Modelling & Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models for agribusiness asset valuations, acquisitions, and disposals
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses and scenario testing to support decision-making across agribusiness markets
  • Prepare detailed pricing appraisals utilizing various valuation methodologies relevant to agribusiness markets

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Science, or related field
  • Strong understanding of either agricultural or real estate markets, with both being highly regarded
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency across Microsoft software, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint supporting both document compilation and financial modelling
  • Strong understanding of agricultural property fundamentals, including commodity markets and performance drivers
  • Experience with primary producers and understanding of operational performance drivers
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on agribusiness market dynamics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for institutional client interaction
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet transaction deadlines
  • Team player with ability to work independently on complex agribusiness transactions
  • Current or pathway to obtaining VIC Real Estate registration/licenc
