What this job involves: This position is responsible for performing non-technical general building maintenance and repair duties under close supervision. The role encompasses light maintenance activities, custodial functions, minor repair work, and general labor support to maintain commercial property operations while ensuring compliance with safety standards and providing excellent customer service.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Performing general building maintenance and minor repair work under engineer supervision

• Conducting interior and exterior painting projects, including surface preparation and matching paint types to proper applications

• Replacing and repairing door hardware, locks, keys, light bulbs, lamps, ballasts, and cleaning fixtures

• Moving furniture, handling modular system breakdown and setup, and performing vacancy cleanup and organization

• Loading, unloading, and moving materials while running errands for various projects

• Responding quickly to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned

• Utilizing technology including smartphones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, and building automation systems

• Maintaining compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, safety training requirements, and JLL uniform dress code

• Performing general labor work and supporting engineering team with various maintenance activities

Desired experience and technical skills:

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Mechanically inclined with technical proficiency

• Strong initiative, flexibility, and multi-tasking capabilities

• Sense of urgency and customer service focus

• Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including stooping, standing, climbing, crouching, and reaching

• Clear communication skills and ability to read/understand written and oral information

• Vision abilities for reading printed materials, drawings, and schematics

• Willingness to complete annual JLL Safety Training and maintain professional appearance

Preferred:

• 1+ year of related experience in a commercial property setting

• Participation in apprentice program or trade school

• Experience with wood, metal, and drywall repair work

• Familiarity with building automation systems and web-based applications

Estimated compensation for this position:

85,841.00 – 85,841.60 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
