Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer – Owner’s Representative for Data Center Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geotechnical Engineer Owner’s Representative to join our team for Data Center projects in the Philippines. In this role, you will play a critical part in reviewing and advising on geotechnical investigations, foundation design, soil improvement, and ground engineering aspects of the project. Your expertise will ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and functionality.

Candidates based in the Philippines with native fluency in Filipino and English, and no work restrictions (such as work permits) will be considered.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will ensure that the appointed consultants will deliver the following items to the client’s requirements:

  • Provide technical review and advice on geotechnical investigations, soil analysis, foundation design, and ground improvement plans.

  • Act as the primary point of contact and Client Representative for geotechnical engineering-related matters, collaborating closely with team members, client team, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.

  • Support and monitor site investigations, geotechnical design, and construction progress, ensuring adherence to approved designs, codes, and standards.

  • Identify potential soil and foundation-related risks early, proposing practical solutions to mitigate issues and delays.

  • Oversee compliance with local building regulations, environmental standards, and geotechnical specifications.

  • Review and approve project documentation, including geotechnical reports, soil test results, foundation drawings, and specifications.

  • Provide detailed engineering analyses and recommendations for foundation systems and ground stabilization techniques.

  • Facilitate smooth communication between multidisciplinary teams to align on project goals and timelines.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance and quality control protocols for geotechnical works.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with geotechnical specialization), or related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering design and construction.

  • Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent is highly desirable.

  • Proven track record of working on large-scale infrastructure projects such as data centers, industrial facilities, oil & gas, or mixed-use developments.

  • Comprehensive understanding of local geotechnical codes, soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and ground improvement techniques.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant geotechnical software tools (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, AutoCAD, Revit).

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and culturally diverse environment.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver projects on schedule.

  • Fluent in Filipino and English.
