What the job involves:

We are currently seeking a Summer Intern in Retail Facility Operations to join our team. In this role, you will learn facility management principles for retail environments, operational efficiency optimization, and property maintenance coordination.

As a Summer Intern in Retail Facility Operations at JLL, you will:

 Facility Assessment and Reporting: Conduct site inspections of retail properties to evaluate mechanical systems, lighting, HVAC performance, and overall facility conditions while preparing detailed assessment reports

 Vendor Management Support: Assist in coordinating with contractors and service providers for routine maintenance, repairs, and facility improvements across retail portfolio properties

 Preventive Maintenance Planning: Help develop and track preventive maintenance schedules for retail facilities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational requirements

 Energy Management Analysis: Support energy efficiency initiatives by collecting utility data, analyzing consumption patterns, and identifying cost-saving opportunities for retail clients

 Emergency Response Coordination: Learn emergency response protocols and assist facility managers in coordinating urgent repairs and tenant communications during facility disruptions

Education, Skills, and Experience

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree, with 2-3 years completed majoring in facilities management, engineering, business, or related field

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify facility issues and propose practical solutions

 Excellent communication abilities: Comfortable interacting with vendors, tenants, and internal teams in professional settings

 Detail-oriented approach: Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and follow systematic processes

 Basic technical aptitude: Interest in building systems, mechanical equipment, and facility technology applications

We do not offer relocation assistance or housing for our internship program.

Permanent US work authorization required.

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
