What this job involves: Your primary responsibility is to complete all tasks as directed by the Lead Engineer with minimum supervision and to report any condition affecting building services, tenant comfort, or safety. Specific areas of responsibility include tenant services, preventive maintenance, equipment monitoring, and general maintenance.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Respond to tenant service requests, including temperature complaints, lighting replacement, and minor repairs.

  • Operate and monitor mechanical equipment such as chillers, pumps, cooling towers, the EMS computer, and the fire alarm system.

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust operating HVAC equipment and control systems to ensure tenant comfort.

  • Conduct equipment monitoring by recording readings, settings, and operational statuses in appropriate logbooks.

  • Perform general maintenance duties, including painting and cleaning of mechanical rooms and maintaining lighting in service areas.

  • Assist the Lead Engineer and outside contractors with equipment startups, major overhauls, and annual inspections.

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical expertise in at least one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations)

  • Multi-skilled capabilities across various building systems and equipment

  • Knowledge of safety protocols for hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposal

  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and procedures

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex facility equipment

  • Strong understanding of building codes and operational standards

  • Physical ability to perform hands-on maintenance and repair work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in multiple craft areas beyond primary expertise

  • Experience with inventory control and purchasing processes

  • Vendor management and contractor oversight experience

  • Knowledge of facility management software and reporting systems

  • Experience in commercial or industrial facility operations

Location: Onsite - Miami, Fl

Work Shift: 1st shift - 8AM-4:30PM
