Job Title: Structure Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Analysis: Develop detailed structural designs, perform load/stress calculations, and create models for various structures (buildings, bridges, etc.).

• Software Proficiency: Utilize advanced CAD (AutoCAD) and BIM (Revit) software for 2D/3D modeling and design.

• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, project managers, and construction teams.

• Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, reports, and material takeoffs.

• Compliance: Ensure designs meet building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

• Site Support: Conduct site inspections, assess progress, and provide technical guidance during construction. 

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and analysis.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality/safety.

• Experience with relevant design software (CAD, BIM, structural analysis tools).

• Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a team. 

Typical Duties

• Interpreting project requirements and vendor data.

• Creating modification drawings for upgrades and new structures.

• Providing technical information to field construction teams.

• Resolving design issues and challenges.
