Senior HR Business Partner

What this job involves:

As a Senior HR Business Partner at JLL, you'll serve as a senior people leader with significant management responsibilities for our Leasing Advisory and Capital Markets business operations in India. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees, and you'll be instrumental in bringing this vision to life through comprehensive people practices that seamlessly integrate with our business objectives. Your role encompasses the complete employee lifecycle, from engagement initiatives to performance management, learning and development programs, and proactive retention strategies. You'll lead and develop a team of HR professionals while partnering closely with business leaders to apply innovative thinking and solution-focused approaches to complex people challenges, making strategic decisions that balance competing priorities while maintaining our commitment to excellence. We believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive, and you'll champion this philosophy through robust stakeholder partnerships that align business strategy with people initiatives. Your extensive leadership experience, expertise in local labor regulations, budget management, and organizational development will be essential as you lead strategic projects, build high-performing teams, and deliver large-scale programs that drive both organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction across multiple countries.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead and manage a team of HR professionals, providing mentorship, career development, and performance oversight to build organizational capability
  • Develop and implement comprehensive People practices for Leasing Advisory and Capital Markets business operations, ensuring seamless integration with overall business objectives
  • Execute all aspects of the employee lifecycle including engagement initiatives, performance management systems, learning and development programs, and retention strategies
  • Apply innovative thinking and solution-focused approaches to address complex people challenges alongside senior business leaders throughout the complete employee journey
  • Cultivate robust partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment between business strategy and people initiatives that support both organizational goals and employee success
  • Oversee strategic people planning and budget management aligned with business requirements while maintaining JLL's core values and established processes
  • Provide expert guidance on local labor regulations to support compliant business decision-making and people processes across the region
  • Lead strategic business projects in partnership with executive leadership while providing clear direction and development opportunities for both direct and indirect HR teams
  • Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities to make well-informed, timely decisions in dynamic business environments that balance competing organizational priorities

 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 15+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing teams and strategic HR functions
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing HR teams with demonstrated people management and coaching capabilities
  • Extensive experience managing the complete employee lifecycle across performance management, employee engagement, and retention strategies at scale
  • Deep knowledge of Indian labor laws and compliance requirements with experience navigating complex regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated success in executive-level stakeholder management and building strategic partnerships with C-suite and senior business leaders
  • Strong experience in budget management and resource allocation within large HR organizations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make data-driven decisions in complex, fast-paced environments
  • Proven project management capabilities with experience leading multi-country or enterprise-wide organizational initiatives

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience in real estate, financial services, or professional services industries with understanding of complex business models
  • Experience managing HR operations across multiple geographic locations with cross-cultural leadership experience
  • Proven track record in large-scale change management and organizational transformation initiatives
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional presentation and communication skills and ability to influence at the highest organizational levels
  • Experience with advanced HR technology platforms and data analytics tools for workforce planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making
