Assistant Manager Fire & Safety
Property and Asset Management
What this job involves
You will oversee and ensure fi re safety at your site. You will use the assigned apparatus and follow the command structure instructions for fi re suppression or a related emergency service. Your du‐ties will involve:
Supervising Fire & Safety staff, assigning/monitoring work assignments and providing training in daily safety procedures, customer service skills, basic life safety and first aid, etc.
Having a working knowledge of all current building’s security panels, fi re and life safety code requirements.
Managing all manpower records for on-roll and contract staff (training, compliance documents and scheduling details)
Ensuring fi re drill is carried out every week for security and unit staffs.
Regular and ongoing communication with Property Manager/Team members/Clients regarding events, incidents, concerns of Fire & Safety Team members, recommendation's, staffing needs, etc.
Approving and interviewing hiring of contract Fire and Safety staff personnel.
Ensuring customer related briefing is provided to all site employees.
Carrying out weekly meetings with vendor operations head and share M.O.M with EM and client.
In case of emergency coordinate with the respective tenant /administration staff/client and ensure quick movement/transfer the injured person to the nearest hospital by coordinating with and handing-over to local doctors / local legal bodies etc.
Drafting disaster management plan in co-ordination with site team members & Estate Manager
Playing a key role emergency (i.e. fi re, evacuations human crisis, etc).
Monitoring and being a part of
performance/behavior
related meetings regarding contract staff
Implements and provides budgets relating to the Fire & Safety requirements and staffing.
Completing appropriate rescue, fire fighting and salvage operations at a fi re scene.
Using established procedures to determine if individuals are trapped within a burning facility and taking appropriate actions to secure their rescue.
Securing affected structure to prevent rekindling.
Taking inventory of all equipment after suppression has been achieved, recording all equipment, which must be left at the site and incident report.
Liaison with Government authorities for periodic renewal of the NOC’s.
