What this job involves:

The Senior Analyst within the Union Center of Excellence (UCOE) will be responsible for supporting all aspects of union-related financial processes, focusing on monthly calculations, data compilation, compliance reporting, and documentation. This position requires an accounting background with strong analytical skills to ensure accurate and timely delivery of union benefit calculations, payroll data integration, billing, and record maintenance. The Senior Analyst will work closely with the Sr. SME and the COE Lead, collaborate with client finance teams, and proactively support audit and compliance activities

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Union Dues & Benefit Calculations:

    • Prepare monthly union benefit calculations for all designated accounts, including welfare, pension, and other fund contributions.

    • Compile and reconcile data from payroll and HR systems such as Workday.

    • Ensure computations are compliant with union contracts and rate changes.

  • Payroll Data Management:

    • Gather, verify, and maintain accurate payroll and HR data, including hours worked, new hires, and terminations.

    • Integrate payroll data into calculation templates and ensure proper documentation for audit readiness.

  • Billing and Client Reimbursement

    • Support the preparation of client billing related to union obligations.

    • Reconcile account transactions and assist in client reimbursement submissions.

    • Maintain clear records of billing activities for internal and external review.

  • Compliance & Audit Support

    • Assist with union portal submissions, payment coordination, and timely documentation.

    • Prepare for audits by ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timely response to queries.

    • Follow standardized workflows to minimize compliance risks and penalties.

  • Documentation and Record Keeping

    • Maintain SOPs/DTPs of all union-related calculations and submissions.

    • Regularly update contract repositories and data logs for data retention

  • Team Collaboration

    • Work closely with SME/Lead to align activities, share best practices, and extend support during non-peak periods

    • Support FRMC and client account teams as needed

    • Participate in knowledge transfer and process harmonization initiatives

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred, especially in payroll, benefits administration, or union processes.

  • Strong analytical and Excel skills for data management, calculations, and tracking

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a process-driven environment
