Role Purpose

The Facilities Manager will lead a team to ensure effective management of daily client activities for assigned properties and facilities, supporting the Account Lead as the on-site key contact for stakeholders and clients. This role manages teams across Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, and Portugal, with responsibility for service quality, help-desk resolution, maintenance operations, contract services, safety practices, procurement, and budget accuracy.

  • Plan and manage all contracts for professional delivery at optimal costs
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and initiate re-procurement when needed
  • Continuously assess contracts to deliver maximum client value

Financial Management / Cost Control / Profitability

  • Ensure site financial operations meet or exceed targets and control requirements, including adherence to JLL's Code of Ethics
  • Maintain compliance with all financial processes

Health & Safety Management

  • Provide a safe working environment for all personnel
  • Ensure compliance with statutory fire, health, and safety regulations

Site Operations Management

  • Recommend and implement continuous quality improvement practices and industry best practices
  • Implement building procedures and performance measures, maintaining them consistently
  • Meet all Critical Environment Management (CEM) requirements
  • Review operations regularly to reduce costs and improve standards

Risk Management

  • Implement and maintain property risk management programs including audits
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Establish escalation and incident reporting procedures
  • Support development of compliance guidelines and strategies aligned with JLL's business conduct

Performance Achievement

  • Meet Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements consistently

Skills and experience:

  • Facilities management, building operations, business, or related field experience
  • Occupational safety requirements knowledge
  • Vendor management experience for specialized services
  • Critical facilities knowledge with understanding of technical property aspects (Computer Room Air-conditioning, Chiller systems, Fire Protection, Mechanical & Electrical systems, BMS systems)
  • Commercial contract interpretation and understanding
  • Budget management and financial analysis capabilities

Technical Skills:

  • Strong PC literacy with proven ability to manage daily activities using various systems
  • Hard services experience and/or technical degree
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement initiatives (highly desirable)
  • Italian and English fluent language proficiency
