What you will do 

  • Work Shift: 8:00 to 5:00 with 1-hour lunch. Depending on where the project is located, you will be required to travel on the West Texas Region and returning to your home town the same day.

  • Performs assigned advanced system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.  

  • Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems. 

  • Responds to basic warranty calls. 

  • Provide a Daily Task Report (DTR) to Lead System Specialists.

How you will do it 

  • Loads system-level controller software. Performs advanced commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e., sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation. By using JCI software like Connected Workflow Application (CWA) and Connected Workflow Dashboard (CWD), you will keep a record of the daily work you perform.

  • Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. 

  • Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.  

  • Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.  

  • Documents change and provide information for as built documentation. 

  • Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. 

  • Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training.  High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.

  • Communicates and organizes technical teams to perform assigned tasks.

Required 

  • 3 years’ experience in HVAC and Building Automation Systems or equivalent associate degree.

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude.  

  • Able to use hand and power tools (i.e., drills, saws, etc.) 

  • Basic computer skills required. 

  • Attention to detail.   

  • Effective communication and listening skills.   

  • Depending on location, the mounting and termination of low voltage devices may have special licensing requirements. 

  • Programming and Commissioning.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $30.76-$41.82 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
