What will you do? 

  • Evaluate the impact of engineering changes submitted to the process flow and coordinate the multifunctional team to ensure activities related to a transparent and successful implementation. 

  • Develop action plans when necessary for the implementation of product or process changes. 

  • Comply with assigned production schedules through proper management of human, technical, and material resources, focused on achieving corporate indicators such as JCMS, Safety, Quality, People, Productivity, On-Time Delivery, and Cost.

How will you do it? 

  • Comply with Safety, Health, and Environmental Standards and the Safety commitment.

  • Participate in informational meetings with your work team.

  • Follow Johnson Controls Manufacturing System guidelines: JCMS.

  • When required, participate as an HPT facilitator and ensure the implementation of the model according to JCMS requirements.

  • Comply with local and corporate training programs.

  • Fully comply with attendance and punctuality control systems implemented by the Company.

  • Promote Organizational Health in the work environment.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement projects.

  • Participate in onboarding and integration of new personnel.

  • Encourage participation in company recognition programs.

  • Participate in continuous improvement teams such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, among others.

  • Follow safety measures according to safety regulations, EHS, internal work regulations, and LFT.

  • Comply with ISO 14001 standards and programs.

  • Participate in and contribute to established programs such as Zero Harm and Stop Work.

  • Participate in programs established under NOM035.

  • Analyze engineering changes to determine the area and product(s) impacted by the change.

  • Define the impact of engineering changes and communicate it to affected groups.

  • Assign activities to the support team and monitor their results for engineering changes.

  • Manage the MRP system for transferring, creating, manipulating, and maintaining part numbers affected by engineering changes.

  • Transfer new revisions of affected part numbers to the corresponding ERP system, updating BOMs with new changes.

  • Coordinate and control processes, quality, and productivity for implementing changes affecting current products or additions to the current portfolio.

  • Develop cost estimates for products affected by changes.

  • Analyze and process requests for updating production Bills of Materials for approval.

  • Control and manage activities related to change implementation.

  • Notify and request implementation of engineering changes affecting external manufacturers.

  • Coordinate PPAP submission activities for suppliers for new parts or changes to parts introduced with engineering changes.

  • Develop CAR for purchasing capital equipment required by changes.

  • Implement improvements in new processes to be introduced.

  • Develop Bill of Materials structures for internal production/manufacturing management.

  • Develop corrective action plans.

  • Develop planning agendas for pilot/prototype runs (Gantt charts).

  • Review compliance with safety standards in new processes to be released.

  • Upload projects and track them in the Continuous Improvement program CI-TRAC.

  • Suspend work in situations of serious and imminent risk, immediately informing your superior to take the most appropriate solution for prevention according to the escalation system.

What are we looking for?  

  • University degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field, or incomplete degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position or solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, basic knowledge of new product introduction and quality assurance, or 180-day trial period within the company.
