What you will do
Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Fire Alarm and Security Systems, including similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines. In addition to inspections, inspectors may occasionally perform system installations and service calls.
How you will do it
Test and inspect fire alarm systems with existing and new customer base.
Maintain proper documentation for work performed using tools provided
Adhere to company safety policies and procedures while following verbal and written instructions.
Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs
Perform all tasks and duties in a safe and professional manner & maintain a clean and safe work area.
Fire Alarm & Security Inspector II
What we look for
Required
One year of related experience installing, programming, servicing, testing, or inspecting fire alarm systems
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
NICET certification or willingness to obtain certification within eight months of hire
Proficiency using hand tools and multimeters
Physical capability to work in challenging environments, including ladders, scaffolding, and lift equipment
Ability to perform manual labor and safely lift up to 70 pounds
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and smartphone applications
Availability for flexible scheduling, including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Willingness to travel as required
Ability to pass pre-employment background screening and drug testing
Commitment to safety standards and procedures
Preferred
2-3 years of previous similar experience
National, State, and Local licenses
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $18.26 - $22.59 per hour. (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
