What you will do
The Suppression Technician III (also known as a “Route Service & Sales Representative”) will maintain a route servicing existing fire extinguisher, kitchen hoods, e-light and pre-engineered and possibly engineered gas system customers. Inspect, service, repair and install two or more suppression product lines, emergency lights, fire extinguishers, pre-engineered and industrial systems according to safety requirements and manufacturer’s specifications.
How you will do it
This position is primarily a technician role with some sales responsibilities. Make recommendations based on manufacturer’s specifications and state/local codes. Identify deficiencies. Quote, sell, and repair on-site. Up-sell existing customers to new product offerings and services to meet compliance with current fire code regulations. High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must have or meet the requirements for an Extinguisher and pre-engineered permit.
Willing and able to make cold calls to potential new business, approximately 2-3 hours per week.
Flexibility with working hours, including occasional nights and weekends, to support customer needs
High School diploma or equivalent.
Able and willing to be on-call one week per month for kitchen suppression.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and carry for up to 50 yards.
Positive attitude, self-motivated, strong organizational.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
1+ years of customer service experience.
Able to pass a drug and background check.
Preferred
2 – 5 or more years of experience with service in the fire protection industry.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $19.23 - $27.40 per hour (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
