What you will do

In this role, you will be responsible for selling Johnson Controls service offerings to building owners, primarily at the Director level. You’ll champion our value proposition by pairing technical know‑how with operational insight to help customers achieve better building performance.

You’ll build and maintain long‑term partnerships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and positioning renewable service agreements as the foundation of those relationships. This role includes managing the full sales process—from identifying opportunities, qualifying leads, and nurturing relationships to closing new business each month. You’ll also work to expand the range of Johnson Controls solutions within each account, creating new value and driving growth.

  • Sell Johnson Controls service offerings with confidence, persistence, and a customer‑first mindset while achieving optimal profitability.
  • Focus on improving existing buildings to help owners meet their business goals.
  • Manage ongoing opportunities with a strong emphasis on selling services and retrofit solutions.
  • Sell, renew, and grow renewable service agreements—including multi‑year agreements—with both new and existing customers.
  • Build strong partnerships with owners and their representatives to influence the decision‑making process and drive adoption of Johnson Controls offerings.
  • Listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and uncover key customer needs.
  • Understand the customer’s business and communicate in a way that aligns with their goals and challenges.

What we look for

Required

  • 3- 4 years of HVAC Commercial Sales experience
  • Minimum of six (6) years of progressive field sales experience
  • At least one year of system or service project sales
  • Strong commitment to integrity and quality in business
  • Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence decision makers at critical levels
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred:

  • Tech or University degree or Equivalent Industry Experience

Salary Range: HIRING SALARY RANGE: $65-91k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that will take into account volume and margin on a project, quarterly, and annual basis. This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
