This position is 100% on-site at our new Controls Product Development Center and Lab in Glendale, WI, where you’ll collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams and work hands-on with real products. Candidates must be commuting distance to the office, or able to relocate.

  • Gather, analyze, and report essential project data (requirements, engineering effort estimates, actual work hours, project costs, etc.)

  • Read and modify code as needed to support development activities

  • Perform engineering-level testing on embedded field device products; develop test software, report results, and propose improvements

  • Use JIRA to track engineering tasks, manage workflows, and support project planning and execution

  • Prepare and deliver reports and schedules for engineering development projects

  • Assist in preparing presentations for project plans, strategy, and timeline updates

  • Support Engineering Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with a global engineering team to achieve project objectives

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 0–5 years of experience

  • Full-time, in-person role at the Warren Johnson Engineering Lab in Glendale, WI

  • No sponsorship available — must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

  • Travel up to 20%

  • Coding experience in Python and C/C++; basic experience with GitHub

  • Strong understanding of electronics and proficiency with tools such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters

  • Hands-on lab experience (debugging boards, flashing firmware, using logic analyzers)

  • Experience using JIRA or similar project/task management tools

Preferred

  • Basic understanding of cloud computing and IoT devices

  • Advanced coding capabilities

  • Basic understanding of business and financial considerations in engineering projects

  • Experience with HVAC and/or Building Automation System

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $85,000 - $110,000 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
