We are seeking a BMS Proposal Lead to provide technical and estimating support during the design and proposal phases of Building Management System projects. This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates, mentoring engineers, and ensuring high-quality proposals that meet client expectations.

Primary Duties

• Provide technical support, selections, and estimating assistance to Application Engineers and Account Executives during project design or proposal phases.
• Build detailed cost estimates and scopes of work for assigned projects in collaboration with Sales, Customers, and Subcontractors.
• Validate assumptions made during proposal development and assist in preparing proposals and customer communication documents.
• Mentor Application Engineers and Regional Project Engineers on Controls systems, including blueprint interpretation and quality standards.
• Prepare customer proposals and quote letters, including project takeoffs, specification reviews, RFQs, and RFIs.
• Respond promptly with selections, specifications, sequences, drawings, and document reviews as required.
• Work closely with POD Lead, Sales, Project Managers, and Subcontractors to manage backlog execution, scheduling, and forecasting.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to develop compliant designs for site coordination and installation requirements.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other technical discipline.
• English language proficiency (minimum B2 level) and French ( minimum 2 level)
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Controls systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with professionalism and persistence.
• Experience in managing projects, proposals, and estimation independently.

Preferred:

• AutoCAD experience.
• Hands-on engineering experience.
