Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting field surveys and inventories of forest stands to assess timber volume, health, and sustainability metrics
• Support the development of management plans that align with JPMorgan Chase's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investment strategies
• Collect and analyze geospatial data using GPS and GIS tools to map forest resources and track changes over time
• Participate in silvicultural operations, including tree planting, thinning, and harvest monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial viability of forestry projects within Campbell Global's portfolio
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and sustainable forestry certifications (e.g., SFI or FSC)
• Contribute to reporting on carbon sequestration and biodiversity impacts to support JPMorgan Chase's climate risk management initiatives
• Engage with local stakeholders, including landowners and communities, to promote responsible land stewardship
• Assist in the preparation of investment memos and risk assessments for timberland assets
• Shadow senior foresters to gain insights into integrating financial modeling with on-the-ground forestry practices

Required Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in forestry, environmental science, natural resources, or a related field, with an expected graduation date in 2026 or later
• Valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to travel extensively in rural areas
• Ability to work full-time during the summer internship period (typically May to August)
• Strong interest in sustainable forestry practices and environmental stewardship
• Basic knowledge of GIS software and data collection tools
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
