  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with C-suite executives at mid-cap consumer and retail companies to generate new business opportunities
  • Develop pitch materials, financial models, and valuation analyses tailored to consumer trends like digital transformation and sustainability
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including analysts, associates, and sector specialists to deliver high-quality advisory services
  • Advise clients on strategic alternatives including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures in competitive retail landscapes
  • Collaborate with J.P. Morgan's broader coverage groups, such as Private Banking and Commercial Banking, to provide integrated solutions
  • Mentor junior bankers and contribute to the growth of the Consumer & Retail M&A practice within J.P. Morgan
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes, market dynamics, and industry disruptions (e.g., e-commerce shifts) to inform client strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in investment banking, with a focus on M&A advisory in the consumer and retail sectors
  • Proven track record of leading and closing mid-cap M&A transactions (deal sizes $100M-$1B)
  • Deep industry knowledge of consumer goods, retail, and mid-cap markets, including trends in e-commerce, supply chain, and consumer behavior
  • Strong network of relationships with mid-cap corporate clients, private equity firms, and strategic buyers in the consumer and retail space
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses or equivalent required
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for client meetings and deal execution
