Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily trade support for agency securities finance activities, including monitoring trade flows and ensuring accurate booking in JP Morgan's systems
  • Collaborate with trading desks, middle office, and clients to resolve trade discrepancies and operational issues in real-time
  • Perform reconciliation of positions, cash, and collateral across multiple systems and jurisdictions
  • Assist in the implementation of new trading products and operational workflows to enhance efficiency in global securities lending
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, risk management policies, and regulatory reporting for securities finance transactions
  • Analyze operational data to identify process improvements and contribute to automation initiatives using tools like Python or SQL
  • Support month-end and quarter-end processes, including profit/loss verification and client reporting
  • Liaise with technology teams to troubleshoot system issues and enhance platform capabilities for trading services
  • Contribute to risk assessment and control enhancements in agency securities operations
  • Mentor junior team members and participate in cross-functional projects to drive operational excellence

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in securities finance operations, trade support, or related areas within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of agency securities lending, repo transactions, and collateral management
  • Proficiency in trade lifecycle processes, including trade capture, confirmation, and settlement
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as HKMA guidelines, SEC regulations, and EMIR for securities finance
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve operational discrepancies
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is advantageous for Hong Kong operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a global investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
  • Familiarity with Aladdin or similar trade management systems
  • Certification such as CFA Level 1 or FRM
  • Prior exposure to prime brokerage or agency MBS trading support
