Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge research in AI and ML to advance JPMorgan's capabilities in financial services
• Develop and prototype novel AI models for applications such as fraud detection, market prediction, and personalized banking
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to translate research into production-ready solutions
• Publish findings in leading conferences and journals, representing JPMorgan AI Research
• Analyze large financial datasets to identify opportunities for AI-driven insights and innovations
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the AI research community's growth within JPMorgan
• Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and evaluate their potential impact on the financial industry
• Design experiments to validate AI models, ensuring robustness and scalability in banking environments

Required Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML research, preferably in a corporate or academic setting
• Strong publication record in top-tier AI/ML conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR)
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience applying AI techniques to real-world problems, ideally in finance or data-intensive domains
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex research projects
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus for the Madrid location
