Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS
  • Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and identify variances for the FRRA team
  • Support the Controller's office in regulatory filings and disclosures for JP Morgan Chase's operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist in the implementation of financial reporting processes and controls to mitigate risks
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities for the financial services division
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics and performance indicators
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards in Mumbai operations
  • Participate in audits and provide documentation support to external auditors
  • Leverage technology to automate reporting processes and improve efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting within the financial services industry
  • Proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial data analysis
  • Knowledge of financial regulatory requirements in banking
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance)
  • Prior experience at a global financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
  • Familiarity with SEC reporting and SOX compliance
  • Experience in audit or internal controls
