Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize payroll automation workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors in JP Morgan Chase's global payroll operations
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to integrate payroll systems with core banking platforms and ensure seamless data flow
• Monitor and maintain payroll system accuracy, conducting regular audits to comply with Indian statutory requirements and international financial regulations
• Develop and execute testing protocols for payroll updates, including regression testing for new features in financial services-specific modules
• Analyze payroll data trends to identify process improvements and support cost-saving initiatives within the firm's HR service delivery framework
• Provide training and support to payroll team members on automated tools, ensuring adoption across Bengaluru and global sites
• Troubleshoot system issues, escalate complex problems to vendors, and document resolutions for knowledge base enhancement
• Generate customized reports for senior management on payroll metrics, focusing on financial accuracy and operational KPIs
• Stay updated on evolving payroll technologies and regulatory changes in the financial sector to recommend proactive enhancements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in payroll processing, automation, or HR systems implementation
• Proficiency in payroll software such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar HCM platforms
• Strong understanding of Indian payroll regulations, tax compliance, and labor laws
• Experience with data analysis and reporting tools like Excel, SQL, or BI software
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in payroll processing (e.g., CPP or equivalent from Indian Payroll Association)
• Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with multinational corporations
• Knowledge of automation tools like RPA (Robotic Process Automation) such as UiPath or Blue Prism
• Prior exposure to JP Morgan Chase systems or similar banking HR environments
• Advanced degree or MBA in HR Management
