Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the APAC Chief Data Office strategy, aligning data initiatives with JP Morgan Chase's global corporate and investment banking, commercial banking, treasury services, markets, investor services, and asset management objectives
  • Oversee data governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regional regulations and internal policies across APAC markets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data analytics solutions that enhance risk assessment and client services in investment banking
  • Drive the adoption of advanced data technologies, including AI and machine learning, to optimize treasury and markets operations
  • Manage a team of data professionals, fostering innovation in data management practices specific to asset and investor services
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for data quality and accessibility in commercial banking products
  • Partner with senior executives to integrate data-driven insights into strategic decision-making for APAC growth

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in data management, data governance, or data strategy within the financial services industry
  • Proven leadership experience in managing data teams in a multinational banking environment
  • Deep knowledge of APAC regulatory frameworks for data privacy and financial reporting (e.g., HKMA guidelines, PDPO)
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms and tools used in corporate and investment banking
  • Strong understanding of risk management and compliance in data handling for treasury services and asset management

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or Master's in Data Analytics from a recognized institution
  • Prior experience at a senior level in a Chief Data Office or similar function at a global bank
  • Certification in data governance (e.g., CDMP) or financial data standards (e.g., BCBS 239 compliance)
  • Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese, in addition to English, for APAC stakeholder engagement
