Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate end-to-end client onboarding processes for APAC clients across various JP Morgan products including wealth management and investment banking
  • Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews and ensure compliance with AML regulations specific to Hong Kong and broader APAC jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as compliance, legal, and sales to resolve onboarding queries and expedite client activations
  • Maintain accurate client records in JP Morgan's proprietary systems and ensure data integrity for regulatory reporting
  • Monitor and mitigate onboarding risks, including identifying potential red flags in client documentation
  • Provide training and support to junior team members on onboarding best practices and platform usage
  • Liaise with clients to gather required documentation and address any discrepancies promptly
  • Contribute to process improvements by analyzing onboarding bottlenecks and recommending enhancements
  • Support audit and regulatory examinations related to client onboarding activities
  • Stay updated on evolving APAC regulatory landscapes and implement changes in onboarding procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in client onboarding, KYC, or AML processes within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of APAC regulatory requirements, including HKMA guidelines and FATCA/CRS compliance
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages such as Mandarin or Cantonese are advantageous
  • Experience with client data management systems and workflow tools in a banking environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive client information with strict confidentiality
  • Relevant certifications such as CAMS or equivalent in anti-money laundering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at a global investment bank like JP Morgan Chase
  • Knowledge of JP Morgan's internal onboarding platforms and tools
  • Familiarity with cross-border client onboarding in APAC markets
  • Advanced degree or MBA in Finance
