Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessments for wholesale clients in the APAC region, focusing on loans, derivatives, and treasury products
  • Structure and negotiate transaction terms to mitigate credit risks while aligning with client needs and JP Morgan Chase's risk appetite
  • Develop and present credit recommendations to senior management and approval committees
  • Monitor ongoing credit exposures and portfolio performance, identifying early warning signs of potential defaults
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including relationship managers, legal, and compliance to ensure seamless transaction execution
  • Utilize financial modeling tools to evaluate transaction viability and stress test scenarios
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors impacting APAC wholesale credit
  • Contribute to the development of credit policies and risk management frameworks specific to the region
  • Support portfolio reviews and provide insights for risk mitigation strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in wholesale banking or financial services
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment for loans, derivatives, and treasury products
  • Proficiency in regulatory frameworks such as Basel III and local APAC regulations
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial statements
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional APAC languages is advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master's in Finance) from a recognized institution
  • Prior experience at a global investment bank like JP Morgan Chase in the APAC region
