Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tier 3 support for mission-critical applications supporting JP Morgan Chase's global trading and risk management platforms
  • Monitor application performance using advanced tools to proactively identify and resolve issues impacting financial operations
  • Collaborate with development teams to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix production incidents in real-time
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and reduce downtime in a high-volume trading environment
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards by conducting audits and maintaining secure application environments
  • Develop and maintain documentation for support processes, including root cause analysis for incidents
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support 24/7 operations for global markets
  • Work with stakeholders across asset management and corporate banking to align support with business needs
  • Automate routine support tasks using scripting and tools to improve efficiency in financial workflows
  • Contribute to post-incident reviews to drive operational excellence and prevent recurrence in banking systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in application support, incident management, and troubleshooting in a financial services environment
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Python, or similar programming languages used in banking applications
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar for production systems
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure in a regulated financial context
  • Proven ability to handle high-pressure situations and ensure 24/7 system availability for critical trading platforms
  • Understanding of financial regulations such as SOX, GDPR, and PCI-DSS compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or ITIL Foundation
  • Experience supporting real-time trading systems or risk management applications at a major bank
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes

  • Master's degree in a technical field or MBA with a focus on fintech
