Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable Generative AI solutions to enhance JPMorgan Chase's financial products and services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, product managers, and business leaders to identify AI-driven opportunities in areas like customer personalization and risk assessment
• Drive innovation by prototyping and scaling Generative AI models, such as LLMs for automated financial advisory or synthetic data generation for compliance testing
• Ensure AI solutions adhere to regulatory standards, data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and JPMorgan Chase's ethical AI guidelines
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the Predictive Science team
• Conduct impact assessments and performance evaluations of AI models in production, optimizing for business outcomes like cost reduction and revenue growth
• Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and integrate them into JPMorgan Chase's strategic initiatives, such as enhancing trading algorithms or fraud prevention systems
• Present AI strategies and results to senior leadership, influencing firm-wide decisions on technology adoption
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• 8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI roles, with at least 3 years focused on Generative AI technologies
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in delivering scalable AI solutions in a financial services or regulated industry environment
• Deep expertise in Generative AI models such as transformers, GANs, and large language models (LLMs)
• Strong understanding of financial data, risk management, and compliance requirements in banking
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data technologies for deploying AI at scale
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a global organization like JPMorgan Chase

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, particularly in areas like fraud detection, personalized banking, or market risk modeling using AI
• Publications or contributions to open-source AI projects related to Generative AI
• Familiarity with JPMorgan Chase's internal AI frameworks or similar enterprise AI governance
• Certification in AI/ML from recognized bodies (e.g., Google Cloud Professional ML Engineer)
• Background in ethical AI practices, including bias mitigation in financial applications

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python, R, or Julia for AI model development
• Expertise in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers
• Experience with Generative AI techniques including diffusion models and VAEs
• Strong knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision for financial applications
