Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing Generative AI and ML team, fostering innovation in predictive science for financial services
• Drive the development and deployment of advanced AI/ML models to solve complex problems in risk assessment, customer personalization, and market predictions
• Serve as the primary decision-maker for technical strategy, architecture, and resource allocation within the team
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including product managers, data scientists, and business leaders, to align AI initiatives with JP Morgan's strategic objectives
• Oversee data engineering pipelines, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant data solutions for AI applications
• Identify emerging AI trends and technologies, evaluating their applicability to enhance JP Morgan's financial products and services
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes that drive business value
• Promote ethical AI practices, including bias mitigation and transparency, in line with regulatory standards
• Build partnerships with external vendors and academic institutions to advance JP Morgan's AI capabilities

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field
• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing technical teams
• Proven track record of leading Generative AI and ML projects in a financial services environment
• Deep expertise in data engineering, predictive modeling, and scalable AI solutions
• Experience with regulatory compliance in financial sectors, including data privacy and ethical AI practices
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical innovations with financial goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in deploying AI/ML models for risk management, fraud detection, or trading optimization at a major bank
• Familiarity with JP Morgan's tech stack, including cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Publications or contributions to open-source AI/ML projects in predictive science
• MBA or equivalent business education to bridge technology and finance

Required Skills

• Expertise in Generative AI frameworks like GPT, Transformer models, and diffusion models
• Proficiency in ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
• Strong knowledge of data engineering tools including Apache Spark, Kafka, and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for scalable AI deployments
• Advanced statistical modeling and predictive analytics for financial datasets
• Leadership and team management skills, including talent development and conflict resolution
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Problem-solving abilities in high-stakes financial environments
• Familiarity with financial regulations like GDPR, SOX, and Basel III
• Programming proficiency in Python, R, and Java
• Agile methodologies and DevOps practices for AI project delivery
