Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced ML models to enhance JPMorgan Chase's core financial products, such as risk management and customer personalization
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify AI opportunities in predictive analytics for trading and compliance
• Oversee the integration of machine learning pipelines into production systems, ensuring scalability and reliability in high-volume financial environments
• Mentor and guide a team of AI engineers, fostering innovation in areas like anomaly detection for fraud prevention
• Conduct code reviews, model validation, and performance optimization to meet stringent financial regulatory standards
• Drive research into emerging AI technologies, such as reinforcement learning for portfolio optimization
• Partner with global teams in Bengaluru and other JPMorgan hubs to align AI initiatives with enterprise goals
• Monitor and iterate on ML models to adapt to evolving market conditions and data patterns in the financial sector
• Ensure ethical AI practices, including bias mitigation and explainability in models impacting financial decisions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of deploying ML models in production environments, preferably in financial services
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, or Java for ML development and data processing
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for scalable AI solutions
• Deep understanding of financial data, risk modeling, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, Basel III)
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers in AI/ML best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field with research publications in AI/ML
• Experience in fraud detection, algorithmic trading, or credit risk assessment at a major financial institution
• Familiarity with JPMorgan Chase's internal tools and AI frameworks
• Certifications in machine learning (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning or Google Professional ML Engineer)
• Prior work on generative AI or large language models applied to financial analytics
