Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of applied AI/ML solutions to address critical challenges in risk assessment, fraud detection, and customer insights within JP Morgan Chase
• Collaborate with agile teams across engineering, data science, and business units to integrate ML models into core banking platforms
• Mentor and guide junior AI/ML engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and best practices in predictive science
• Conduct research and experimentation on emerging AI technologies to enhance financial forecasting and decision-making processes
• Ensure all AI solutions comply with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines specific to the financial services industry
• Analyze large-scale financial datasets to build scalable ML models that drive operational efficiency and revenue growth
• Present technical findings and solution roadmaps to senior leadership, translating AI impacts into business value
• Oversee model validation, monitoring, and retraining to maintain accuracy and performance in dynamic market conditions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field; Master's or PhD preferred
• 8+ years of experience in applied AI/ML, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within financial services
• Proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments
• Strong understanding of financial regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and Basel III, with experience in compliant AI solutions
• Experience leading cross-functional agile teams in delivering tech solutions for risk management or fraud detection
• Proficiency in Python, R, or Java for ML model development and deployment
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a banking context
