Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive assessments of JP Morgan's technology platforms, products, and tooling to identify and mitigate control gaps
  • Design and execute cybersecurity exercises, including simulations and drills, to test the firm's resilience against emerging threats
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Cybersecurity Operations to enhance the overall technology controls posture
  • Analyze assessment results and provide actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders in the financial services division
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal JP Morgan policies during all assessment activities
  • Develop and maintain documentation for assessment methodologies and exercise outcomes
  • Mentor junior team members on best practices in cybersecurity assessments within a banking context
  • Monitor evolving cybersecurity threats and integrate findings into proactive control enhancements
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulators to support JP Morgan's cybersecurity reporting obligations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with a focus on assessments and exercises in a financial services environment
  • Proven track record in conducting advanced assessments of technology platforms, products, and tooling to enhance controls posture
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements such as SOX, GDPR, and NYDFS Cybersecurity Regulation applicable to financial institutions
  • Experience in leading cybersecurity exercises, including tabletop simulations and red team engagements
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, and COBIT in the context of banking technology
  • Ability to obtain and maintain relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC
