Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with red and blue teams to simulate real-world attack scenarios, focusing on vulnerabilities in people, processes, and technology
  • Analyze assessment outcomes to provide actionable recommendations for improving security posture and regulatory compliance
  • Develop and lead cybersecurity exercises, including tabletop simulations and live-fire drills, tailored to JP Morgan Chase's global operations
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices
  • Integrate findings from assessments into enterprise risk management frameworks, ensuring alignment with financial industry standards
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats, such as ransomware and insider threats, and adapt assessment strategies accordingly
  • Report on exercise results to senior leadership, highlighting impacts on business continuity and client data protection

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, with at least 3 years focused on purple team assessments and exercises
  • Proven track record in conducting advanced security assessments of people, processes, and technology in a financial services environment
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and regulatory requirements like SOX, PCI-DSS, and GDPR
  • Experience with threat simulation tools and methodologies in high-stakes financial institutions
  • Strong understanding of risk management and compliance in the banking sector
  • Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, or OSCP)
