Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Alternatives desk to oversee Treasury Banking processes, ensuring seamless execution of daily operations
  • Manage bank account openings, closures, and ongoing maintenance in compliance with internal and regulatory standards
  • Monitor and reconcile treasury transactions for alternatives investments, including private equity and hedge funds
  • Liaise with Japanese-speaking clients, counterparties, and internal teams to facilitate smooth communication and resolve issues
  • Support trade settlement, confirmation, and reporting for alternatives products, minimizing operational risks
  • Ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase's risk management policies and Hong Kong regulatory requirements
  • Analyze and report on middle office metrics, identifying process improvements for efficiency
  • Coordinate with front office, back office, and compliance teams to handle ad-hoc queries and escalations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for audit purposes in asset management operations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in middle office operations, treasury banking, or alternatives asset management within the financial services industry
  • Fluency in Japanese (both written and spoken) at a business level, with proficiency in English
  • Strong understanding of banking processes, including bank account opening, management, and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Hong Kong and Japan for asset management and alternatives investments
  • Experience with trade lifecycle management in alternatives (e.g., private equity, hedge funds, real assets)
