Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic oversight and management of a $10 billion commercial real estate debt portfolio, encompassing senior loans, mezzanine debt, and related instruments
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to maximize returns, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with JP Morgan Chase's investment guidelines
  • Oversee a team of asset managers, analysts, and support staff, providing mentorship and driving performance to meet portfolio objectives
  • Conduct ongoing portfolio monitoring, including valuation, performance analysis, and stress testing for market volatility
  • Collaborate with origination, risk management, and capital markets teams to align debt strategies with broader firm goals
  • Manage workout and restructuring processes for underperforming or non-performing loans, negotiating with borrowers and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial real estate debt management, including senior loans and mezzanine financing
  • Proven track record of leading asset management teams in a financial services environment, ideally with portfolios exceeding $5 billion
  • Deep knowledge of commercial real estate markets, underwriting standards, and regulatory requirements in the U.S.
  • Experience in portfolio optimization, risk assessment, and workout strategies for distressed debt assets
