Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product strategy for alternative investment offerings, including private equity, real estate, and hedge funds

  • Analyze market opportunities and competitive positioning to recommend new product launches or enhancements
  • Conduct due diligence on potential alternative investment partnerships and structures
  • Monitor performance metrics and regulatory compliance for alternative products
  • Support the creation of marketing materials, whitepapers, and educational content on alternatives
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including portfolio managers, research analysts, and compliance teams
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with alternative investment strategies
  • Contribute to the firm's overall asset management growth initiatives in the alternatives space
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, such as impact investing and infrastructure alternatives, to inform strategy

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in asset management, with a focus on alternative investments such as private equity, hedge funds, or real assets
  • Proven track record in product strategy, development, or management within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in asset management, including SEC guidelines and alternative investment regulations
  • Experience in sales support or client-facing roles within institutional asset management
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscapes in alternatives
  • CFA charter or equivalent certification (e.g., CAIA) is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance or related field
  • Experience working at a major asset management firm like JPMorgan Chase or similar
  • Direct involvement in launching or scaling alternative investment products
