Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on securitized credit products, including RMBS, CMBS, ABS, and CLOs, to support portfolio decisions
  • Monitor credit performance, identify risks, and recommend adjustments to investment strategies within JP Morgan's Asset Management division
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and investment teams to evaluate opportunities and underwrite new securitized credit investments
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess cash flows, default probabilities, and recovery rates for structured finance assets
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on market trends, credit outlooks, and portfolio performance for senior stakeholders
  • Stay abreast of macroeconomic factors, regulatory changes, and industry developments impacting securitized markets
  • Contribute to the team's thought leadership by publishing research insights and participating in internal strategy sessions
  • Support due diligence processes for potential investments, including issuer analysis and collateral evaluation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field; advanced degree (MBA or Master's) preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in securitized credit research, structured finance, or related asset management roles
  • Strong understanding of securitized products including RMBS, CMBS, ABS, and CLOs
  • Proven track record in credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, and risk assessment within the financial services industry
  • CFA charterholder or progress toward CFA designation
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data interpretation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment in New York, NY
