Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile asset servicing transactions including corporate actions, income payments, and trade settlements for institutional clients
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of client portfolios in JP Morgan's custody systems, resolving discrepancies promptly
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external counterparties to address inquiries and resolve operational issues
  • Monitor and execute corporate actions such as dividends, mergers, and stock splits in compliance with client instructions
  • Contribute to the implementation of process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks
  • Prepare and analyze daily reconciliation reports, identifying and escalating exceptions as needed
  • Support regulatory reporting and audits, ensuring adherence to JP Morgan's global standards and local regulations
  • Collaborate with technology teams to test and deploy system updates impacting asset servicing workflows
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members on best practices in asset servicing
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market developments and their impact on asset servicing operations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in asset servicing, custody operations, or related financial services roles
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative assets
  • Proficiency in regulatory requirements including SEC, FATCA, and local Indian financial regulations
  • Experience with reconciliation processes and exception handling in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting with attention to detail
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages is advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certification such as CFA Level 1 or equivalent in asset management
  • Prior experience working with global custodians or investment banks like JP Morgan Chase
  • Familiarity with SWIFT messaging and ISO 20022 standards
