Key Responsibilities

  • Independently assess JPMC’s compliance with US Basel capital regulations, including ongoing monitoring and gap analysis
  • Develop and maintain capital risk policies to ensure alignment with evolving regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Balance Sheet Risk Management to integrate policy into business operations
  • Conduct impact assessments of regulatory changes on JPMC's capital framework and recommend adjustments
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies on capital risk metrics
  • Support internal audits and external examinations by providing policy documentation and rationale
  • Analyze balance sheet exposures and stress testing scenarios to validate capital adequacy
  • Stay abreast of global regulatory trends and advise on their implications for JPMC's US operations
  • Facilitate training sessions for teams on capital risk policy updates and best practices
  • Contribute to the enhancement of risk management tools and methodologies specific to capital planning

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, or capital markets within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of US Basel III capital regulations and related frameworks such as CCAR and Dodd-Frank
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using tools like Excel, VBA, or Python
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory texts and translate them into actionable policies
  • Experience with balance sheet management or capital adequacy reporting in a banking environment
  • CFA, FRM, or similar professional certification
