You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute testing programs aligned with regulatory requirements such as those from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and international standards like Basel accords. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive risk assessments and control testing for compliance and operational risk areas within JP Morgan Chase's Corporate & Investment Bank
  • Identify control gaps and weaknesses through detailed testing and analysis, ensuring alignment with firm-wide risk standards
  • Drive remediation efforts by collaborating with business units to implement corrective actions and monitor progress
  • Develop and maintain testing methodologies, including sampling techniques and evaluation criteria tailored to financial services regulations
  • Prepare detailed reports on testing outcomes, risk exposures, and recommendations for senior management and regulatory submissions
  • Ensure adherence to JP Morgan's operational risk framework and contribute to policy updates based on emerging risks
  • Facilitate training and awareness programs on compliance testing for team members in Mumbai and global offices
  • Monitor regulatory changes and integrate them into the testing program to enhance operational efficiency
  • Coordinate with audit, legal, and technology teams to support integrated risk management
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for testing effectiveness and report on metrics to drive continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, operational risk management, or internal audit within the financial services industry
  • Proven track record in leading risk assessments and testing programs in a banking or financial institution environment
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and local Indian regulations (e.g., RBI guidelines)
  • Experience with control testing methodologies and remediation planning
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a global organization
  • Relevant certifications such as CRCM, CIA, or CISA
