In this position, you will execute independent testing programs to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance and operational risk controls, identifying potential vulnerabilities in processes related to lending, payments, and investment services. You will partner with diverse teams including front-office business lines, technology, and legal to remediate issues and implement enhanced controls. Key Responsibilities

  • Execute independent testing of compliance and operational risk controls to identify gaps and ensure adherence to JP Morgan Chase policies
  • Collaborate with business units, compliance teams, and senior management to develop and enhance risk mitigation strategies
  • Conduct detailed reviews of transactional data, processes, and documentation to assess control effectiveness
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on testing outcomes, including findings, recommendations, and remediation plans
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices to update testing methodologies accordingly
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions and track progress to closure
  • Facilitate training sessions for teams on compliance and operational risk awareness
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm's risk management framework
  • Analyze emerging risks in financial products and services offered by JP Morgan Chase

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, operational risk, or internal audit within the financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, Dodd-Frank, or RBI guidelines applicable to banking operations
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and control testing procedures
  • Experience with data analysis tools and reporting in a compliance environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global team setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certification such as CRISC, CISA, or CIA
  • Prior experience in a Big Four consulting firm or major financial institution like JP Morgan Chase
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations
  • Familiarity with JP Morgan's internal risk management systems and tools
